WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY
MEET THE FOUNDER
COACH PETER GRIFFITH
Born and raised in Lubbock, Texas, Peter Griffith grew up playing both six-man and eleven-man football. Until he began playing quarterback solely at the collegiate level, Coach Griffith was able to have the unique experience of seeing the game from both sides of the ball, as he played both offense and defense from the time he started playing all the way through high school. He used his unique experience of playing on both sides of the ball in the six-man and eleven-man formats to his advantage, and now uses that knowledge in his coaching philosophy today. Knowing the intricacies of both the six-man and eleven-man games has also served Coach Griffith well with quarterbacks, as he has been able to connect and help young men from all levels and styles and give them a truly personalized experience.
SKILLS COACH
ALEX TIMMONS
Born and raised in Lubbock, Texas, Coach Timmons was a standout quarterback at Lubbock Christian High School, where he became the first 3-year starter at QB for the Eagles in over two decades. With a stellar 25-5 record, he threw for over 6400 yards and 71 touchdowns, leading LC to the state championship game in his senior year and earning 1st Team All-State and TAPPS Division 3 Offensive Player of the Year honors.
After high school, Alex attended Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas, where he played quarterback for the Cowboys for a year before retiring due to medical reasons. He then transitioned to coaching and has been with The WTPA for nearly three years as both an athlete and an assistant coach during the off-season.
With his extensive experience and accomplishments, Coach Timmons is well-equipped to mentor the next generation of quarterbacks. Currently pursuing his education at Texas Tech University, he also returns to Lubbock Christian as a member of their coaching staff.
